The proposed research is located within two rapidly developing scientific areas, disaster relief supply chain management and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and in particular, with regard to the collection, management and real-time analysis of user-generated content. It aims to develop an innovative supply chain model for humanitarian crisis management with the support of Internet of Things (IoT) technology and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (drones). Key research steps of the proposed research methodology are the following: a) Review of academic/business literature and standards, b) Review and market research on available ICTs in the areas of research interest, c) Development of a Disaster Relief Supply Chain Management (DRM) Model and finally, d) DRM Model Certification & Roadmap Development.
