The overall objective of the “E-fuels for transport” project is the cost efficient and carbon effective production of methanol and SNG (Synthetic Natural Gas), based on CO2 and green H2, and their utilization as fuels to assist the decarbonization of transport, primarily focusing on shipping, which is one of the harder-to-abate transport sectors. The scope of the project is therefore to provide an overview of the e-fuels production process, potential costs, utilization practices and environmental impact of e-fuels that will serve as a roadmap for their deployment and encourage relevant investment. ORLOG is contributing with understanding of the potential future supply chain of Methanol and SNG, as well as modelling and optimization of the structure of the respective supply chains under various demand scenarios.
