Supply Chain & Logistics Executive 5.0. - Requirements, Opportunities and Rewards
There was no better way to complete the syllabus of the Production & Material Handling Systems course, than hosting the CEO of Planning S.A. Mr. Panagiotis Andrianopoulos as our guest lecturer. Planning S.A. is one of the oldest and biggest supply chain management consulting companies in Greece, providing supply chain management and logistics consulting services for over thirty years and since its establishment in 1989.
Mr. Andrianopoulos, after a brief introduction on Industry 5.0 and smart warehousing concepts, focused his presentation on practical applications of logistics consulting through a series of case studies drawn from the company’s portfolio of successfully completed projects in Greece and abroad, e.g. Cyprus, Malta, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Nigeria, Egypt, Poland, France and Belgium. Highlighting projects’ key aspects leading to successful delivery, understanding the role of the supply chain management & logistics executive of the future in such projects and identifying both the requirements and opportunities from assuming this role, were the invaluable key take aways of his presentation.
For that reason, on behalf of the students and our lab, we would like to thank him for sharing his expertise with us and for making this lecture such an enjoyable learning experience.
