ORLOG's celebration of the arrival of the year 2025!

For most of the year, we at ORLOG bring our home to the Lab by spending most of our daytime in its premises. It was about time, to bring the Lab to our home, just this once for a change! On Saturday, ORLOG celebrated the coming of the New Year with the tradition of ceremonially cutting Vasilopita, a traditional New Year's cake with a hidden coin (flouri)* inside for good luck, while enjoying some good music and sharing food as a group. Although ‘talking shop’ was in principle to be avoided, during the six hours of the event’s duration, group talks took place about the Lab’s achievements, future research ventures and dissertations’ implementation roadmaps.

It was a heart-warming event, for all of us and hopefully its good vibes will follow us for the rest of the year and until we renew them again, in the first days of 2026. Till then, all of us at ORLOG wish you a healthy, prosperous and academically fruitful New Year!
